Adult Care Centres
Program Hours:
Monday – Friday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, clients can come one to five days a week.
What We Provide:
A nurturing and professional staff who will provide the participants with gentle assistance as needed. They will learn the strengths and interests of each participant to ensure maximum involvement for the most fulfilling experience.
Meals
A delicious, nutritionally balanced lunch and snack, are provided each day. Nutritious meals and snacks can be customized to meet individual dietary requirements.
ADULT SOCIAL RECREATION PROGRAM
Since 1977, the Adult Care Centre has been providing a warm, friendly atmosphere for disabled and/or elderly guests. It provides companionship, social activities and learning opportunities for adults whose health prevents independent outings and activities.
The centre also allows the caregiver time to complete errands, pursue personal interests and renew their own resources.
By encouraging mutual caring and respect for one another, the centre attempts to:
- Emphasize the integrity and worth of each individual.
- Kindle and promote the discovery or rediscovery of each person’s abilities to nurture one another.
Guests attending the Adult Social Recreation Centre participate in a wide variety of social activities that include but are not limited to conversations over morning coffee, board games, card games, Wii games, puzzles and crafts. The centre also has two computers for client use. Client directed themes are incorporated to provide general interest and educational opportunities. Mutual caring and respect is encouraged which blooms into life long friendships.
The Adult Social Recreation Centre is located at 310 Princess Street. Visitors are warmly welcomed to call and drop in for a tour.
